We adopt teaching strategies based on multiple intelligences to provide children with a happy learning environment and help them attain a balanced development in the six domains of spirituality, ethics, intellect, physique, social skills and aesthetics. A diverse range of learning opportunities supporting the curriculum are also offered to encourage children to turn everyday life into learning experiences and inspire them to be bold, creative and inquisitive, alongside promoting their development in the six learning areas, namely Language, Physical Fitness and Health, Early Childhood Mathematics, Technology and Science, Self and Society, and Arts. In addition, we provide a safe, supportive and caring learning environment where children will be motivated to learn as well as develop close relationships with their surroundings, the peers and adults around them through interactions, and thereby strengthening their social skills.
We put small-class teaching into practice, with classes instructed by English, Putonghua and experienced teachers to enhance children’s biliterate and trilingual competencies, supported by a range of engaging learning activities that help develop a love of learning in children.
Our teachers have completed the “Scheme on Early Language and Literacy Development in Chinese and English Language of Young Children” launched by the Standing Committee on Language Education and Research (SCOLAR), based on which a quality Chinese and English language curriculum is designed to expose children to the languages, help them develop an interest in the languages and enhance their language skills.
We are a Christian kindergarten focusing on life education. We introduce children to Jesus Christ and the Bible’s truth from an early age through morning assemblies, birthday parties, bible class and fellowship groups.
Also, through moral and religious activities, we instil in children positive values towards life, positive qualities and social skills, all of which will help them get along with others and develop in them the virtues of care, appreciation, understanding and respect, thus shaping them to be polite, self-disciplined, caring and confident individuals.
We encourage children to take learning outside the classroom and explore nature because it not only will deepen their understanding of nature but also broaden their horizons. Through extending learning outdoors, observing the surroundings, and participating in a variety of site visits and field trips, children will develop an interest in learning and an exploratory mind. They will also develop a love of nature, learning to protect the natural environment and natural resources.
